Super PAC Really American has debuted a new ad targeting the nine House Republicans that voted against a bill to ease the nationwide baby formula shortage. After having been posted for just one hour on Monday evening, the video has already been viewed more than 50,000 times and the hashtag #GOPHatesBabies trended nationally on Twitter.
In the video, Really American names the nine Republicans — Andy Biggs (R-Arizona), Lauren Boebert (R-Colorado), Thomas Massie (R-Kentucky), Clay Higgins (R-Louisiana), Chip Roy (R-Texas), Paul Gosar (R-Arizona), Matt Gaetz (R-Florida), Louie Gohmert (R-Texas), and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) — who voted against a bill that would have made baby formula easier for low-income women to buy baby formula through the federal WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) program.
The video also mentions how America’s infant mortality rate is disproportionately higher than the global average, which is likely exacerbated by the baby formula crisis.
The video criticizes these nine Republicans for willing to put the lives of American babies at risk all for the sake of denying President Biden a win.
The video ends by calling on voters in these nine districts to vote these representatives out in November of 2022.
