July 24, 2020 – Really American, a newly registered Political Action Committee, has released a devastating new video calling the President Gestapo Trump. The release of the video pushed the hashtag #GestapoTrump up to #2 on Twitter’s US trends while reaching above 2 million views in under 24 hours.
The next day, the Super PACs video was accidentally deleted in error and reposted for a second time. Since reposting the video has picked up another half a million views.
The shocking video shows footage of recent protesters being brutalized by police. As the shocking video rolls on the screen, audio clips play of Trump as he advocates to be rough with protestors while celebrating how police have violently handled protestors, especially in Portland.
Both in the initial release and in the reposting, the video and hashtag gained significant traction with Twitter users, including celebrities Bette Midler and Mark Hamill:
Gestapo Trump is the 12th in a series of hard-hitting videos attacking Trump that Really American has launched since June 15th. Cumulatively the committee’s videos have reached over 23 million people.
The PAC’s next moves are to launch TV and FB ads, as they continue to release trending videos on Twitter.
